Our Activities

What we do

Our Heritage produces events in both entertaining and educational formats.

Our Heritage collaborates and shares its resources and research with a variety of institutions and communities around the globe.

Our Heritage promotes our activities, accomplishments and goals across media in a variety of live, broadcast, and digital platforms.

Our goal is to inspire future generations and pass on the customs, values, traditions and creative legacy of Jewry from around the world.

A window into the Jewish soul

There is no better, more joyous and clear a window into the Jewish identity than the arts and culture. Our Heritage seeks to share these living treasures widely between communities in the US and Europe, in particular Ukraine where a recently renewed and energized society is now fighting for its very existence.

Our Beneficiaries

Seltzer Nights

Our Heritage non-profit Jewish organization is supporting the production of a new contemporary comedy with music that is a heartfelt evocation of New York’s bustling Yiddish theater district, Second Avenue, in the early 20th Century. The immersive Yiddish vaudeville Seltzer Nights featuring a score by Josh Dolgin is packed with evocations of the New York in its immigrant heyday. The show is currently in development in Minneapolis. A workshop production in the winter will be announced.

A New Museum of Yiddish Theater

Our Heritage is a cornerstone partner of a new initiative to create a museum of the Yiddish theater led by the Hebrew Actors Union Foundation. The Foundation is announcing a capital campaign to build this museum in the old Hebrew Actors Union clubhouse on East 7th Street – in the heart of the old Second Avenue theater district and currently home to numerous Ukrainian businesses and institutions.

Our Heritage is proud to be on the ground floor of this important preservation project with immense cultural benefit.
